LRC is a lyrics file format with time tags to synchronize lyrics with audio/video files. Currently, there are 2 kinds of LRC formats:
Simple LRC format is a lyrics format introduced by Kuo (Djohan) Shiang-shiang's Lyrics Displayer which was probably the first program that tried to simulate Karaoke performance. Simple LRC contains Line Time Tags [mm:ss.xx] only:
[mm:ss.xx] lyrics line 1 [mm:ss.xx] lyrics line 2 ... ... ... [mm:ss.xx] last lyrics line
and can't be used for supporting real time lyrics-line word-by-word coloring because there is no time tag to specify when a word (syllable) or a line (last word of the line) is going to start/stop.
Seeing the defect of the Simple LRC format, the designer of A2 Media Player developed the Enhanced LRC format by adding an extra time tag, Word Time tag <mm:ss.xx> to it:
[mm:ss.xx] <mm:ss.xx> word 1 of line 1 <mm:ss.xx> word 2 of line 1 <mm:ss.xx> ... last word of line 1 <mm:ss.xx> [mm:ss.xx] <mm:ss.xx> word 1 of line 2 <mm:ss.xx> word 2 of line 2 <mm:ss.xx> ... last word of line 2 <mm:ss.xx> ... ... ... [mm:ss.xx] <mm:ss.xx> word 1 of last line <mm:ss.xx> word 2 of last line <mm:ss.xx> ... last word of last line <mm:ss.xx>
so that the Karaoke performance is greatly improved, and now you can enjoy real Karaoke show at home with A2 Media Player Pro.
Download and try some of our professionally-synchronized samples of Enhanced LRC lyrics. Starting from version 2.31, user can search LRC Lyrics for audio CD tracks and MP3/OGG/WMA/Wave audio files from the Internet.
You can learn how to produce professional "Enhanced LRC" file using the new features of "Lyrics Editor" for version 2.40 or higher from our tutorial. For some people, making an "Enhanced LRC" file may be a tedious work. We suggest user to start with a "Simple LRC" first, which is much faster to create and synchronize. But before you do-it-yourself, you may want to try some LRC files synchronized by other users from some LRC sites.
